Crisis Stabilization Services
Comprehensive Crisis Services
When an individual experiences a behavioral health crisis they may be at risk for severe instability and disruption in their daily functioning. This risk can be increased by several factors such as lack of natural support systems, isolation, or substance abuse disorder. Without therapeutic intervention the outcome of some behavioral health crisis can be increased risk for homelessness, psychiatric hospitalization, and law enforcement involvement. Resilient Health is here to help with intensive outpatient community stabilization services for adults, children, and adolescents.
Our goal is to stabilize individuals experiencing acute crises in the community, where they reside and are comfortable. We provide support through evidence-based interventions and care coordination through our Mobile Crisis Response and Community Stabilization programs.
Mobile Crisis Response
Community Stabilization
Community stabilization provides continued stabilization to individuals transitioning from a high level of care (i.e., hospitalization or residential placement) to a long-term support service (i.e. mental health skills building, substance use services, etc.). This service is provided within the community and allows for individuals to have continued support during his or her transitional stage. Services can range from 1 to 7 days; hours are based on clinical necessity.
To qualify for the Comprehensive Crisis Services, the individual must be:
- Virginia Medicaid eligible.
- Experiencing a current mental health crisis (Mobile Crisis Response)
- Referred from a high level of care (Community Stabilization)
- Moderate to high intensity behavioral and/or emotional needs that without intervention, will lead to hospitalization or further interfere with their ability to function in at least one category: family, living situation, school, social, work or community.
Referral sources for our Comprehensive Crisis Services programs include managed care organizations, community partners, self-referral, physicians’ offices, family, friends, other behavioral health agencies, schools, the Department of Social Services, foster care agencies, and others.
